Table Tennis Table
Table is the most important part of Table Tennis game, so it must be of actual size as that needed. As per the International Specification the playing surface of the table should be rectangular 2.74 m long and 1.525 m wide and lie in a horizontal plane 75cm above the floor and this surface does not include the vertical sides of the tabletop. This playing surface can be made of any material but should yield a uniform bounce of 23cm when a ball is dropped from 30cm height. This surface can be off any dark color and with a white side line, 2cm wide along with 2.74m edge and a white end line which is 2cm wide along with 1.525m edge. And it must be divided into 2 parts by a vertical net running parallel with the end line.
Table Tennis Balls
As per the international specification the game is played with a light 2.7 gm, 40 mm diameter tt ball. It must be dropped at least 24 - 26 cm when dropped from 30 cm height.
Table Tennis Bat / Racket
To play this game, players are equipped with a laminated wooden racket covered with rubber on one or two sides depending on the grip of the players. This wooden portion of racket is called blade, in this 85% of the blade should be thickened of natural wood and the average size of blade is about 6.5 long and 6 inches wide.
